It is a micellar based cleanser, so while she is not here to melt a full face of makeup, she absolutely understands the assignment for daily cleansing.
I have rosacea, ultra sensitive skin, and a routine that does not play around. Tazarotene at night with a thick ceramide moisturizer. Mornings rotate azelaic acid or a vitamin C derivative like Tidy Pores, followed by Super Sensa and a non waterproof Korean SPF because American sunscreens still feel loud and outdated on my skin. Through all of this, Mellow Jelly delivers. Clean but never tight. Fresh but never squeaky. Calm skin is the real flex.
The texture had me curious at first because no foam makes you pause, but trust me, she cleans. Week two brought a tiny sting for a few seconds and then she said never mind and disappeared. My skin adapted and has been smooth sailing ever since. I dot it around my face, gently massage, rinse, and glow on with my life.
Christina created a formula that is sensible, skin smart, and refreshingly drama free. I am excited to see how she evolves this cleanser and what else comes from her brand. Also, major bonus points because she replies to emails personally and actually gets to know her customers. Authentic is not just the name, it is the vibe.

I have oily, acne-prone skin that seems to break out from everything (even Vanicream’s cleanser), but this has become my holy grail cleanser. The jelly texture feels so luxurious and leaves my skin hydrated, plump, soft, and comfortable without any foam or that tight, stripped feeling. I genuinely look forward to using it every day, and it’s made me want to try the rest of the Authentic Ego line.

This is the nicest cleanser I’ve EVER used. Really doesn’t strip my skin at all, cleanses well enough for me although I don’t wear heavy makeup etc.

I was using super sensa moisturiser and my skin massively improved and then when I added this too, my skin has been even calmer and clearer. Never thought I’d reach a point where my skin was consistently well behaved.

Authentic Ego has easily become my favorite brand and this cleanser is a dream. Super gentle on my sensitive skin. Unfortunately, the pumps stopped working halfway through the bottle for no apparent reason. Really bummed because I enjoy using g it.

I'm a big fan of the Tidy Pores serum so was excited to try this cleanser out! I like to use non-foaming cleansers for my morning cleanse and this is definitely the most elegant (and plush) formula out of all the ones I've tried. My skin feels soft and hydrated after cleansing - zero irritation too.

The pump did break/separate on me about halfway through which is a bummer (hoping it's a one-off experience since all I was doing was pumping normally) but all good since it doesn't effect the actual product efficacy.

I really hate writing this review, as I have been using the Super Sensa moisturizer for months now and it was working pretty well for me and I was SO excited to try this cleanser. Upon first use, my skin felt surprisingly dry and uncomfortable. But I pushed through and I’ve been using nothing but this cleanser and my Super Sensa for over a week now, and I have developed contact dermatitis bumps all over my cheeks, and now spreading to my chin and neck. I really wanted to love this, but I think the combination of the cleanser and moisturizer is just overload on some of the ingredients for my sensitive and reactive skin. It may work great for others with less sensitive skin! It is pretty, cleanses well, and is fragrance free, all big pluses!

My skin is prone to dryness so the cleansing step can make or break my routine. Mellow Jelly is exactly what my skin needed! It is so smooth, gentle, and calming. After cleansing, my skin is no longer red and flaky. Everyone needs a gentle cleanser in their routine and Mellow Jelly is the one!

Absolutely phenomenal!!! I never ever been a fan of a non foaming cleanser so I was skeptical at first but I gave it a shot since the brand was catered towards acne prone skin, and let’s just say I’m so glad I went and bought it. It’s super hydrating while also giving an amazing clean. This will be the only non foaming cleanser I’ll ever use and it’s slowly becoming my favorite cleanser ever. No irritation, no breakouts and my skin has been loving it. 10/10 cleanser

Ive been using Mellow Jelly for 2 ina half weeks.. i havent had any inflammation/huge zits popping up on my neck/face since ive been using it.. my skin feels hydrated after i use it, not stripped or dry .. i was only using Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser & súper Sensa for 3 months ..so i know it was the Cetaphil causing all this immflamation ..I had 9 huge inflamed huge zits on different parts of my neck at the same time.. for reference, ive been healing damaged skin barrier for over 3 months . I now use Super Sensa , mellow jelly & tidy pores ..These products are healing my skin

Finally a brand makes a cleansing gel WITHOUT FOAM that actually cleanses my skin. I got a lab sample of this and I'm in love with it. I previously used a LRP gel and Geek and gorgeous but both stung my skin( I am rosacea prone and also have perioral dermatitis) I found out that my skin really doesn't like phenoxyethanol which is in literally everything so finding this is a godsend. I spoke with the founder and she explained that even though phenoxy is safe it can cause stinging sensations and irritation in sensitive skin esp if your barrier is compromised. I am so thankful I found this brand and love everything they stand for!

I have fungal acne and type 2 rosacea. I am extremely sensitive but also combo oily. I had a chance to test a generous sample of this cleanser and I absolutely LOVE. I have been looking for a non-foaming gel cleanser for ages but have never found one that doesn't irritate my skin and I can't even touch anything with foam. I love the texture of this and how it feels on the skin. You do need to massage it in to work since it doesn't foam but I find that it actually leaves my skin more hydrated and calm after using it. I am counting down the days to when I can get a full bottle and can't wait to stockpile it. :P
