We wanted to create a name that reflected who we are and what we’re trying to achieve. Our goal is to be an authentic voice in an industry that’s known for misleading people. It kind of just came to be this way!
Our founder is Canadian, but the business is based in the USA. Our manufacturer is in California, and all products ship from our warehouse in Texas. Our plastic pump bottles are sourced from South Korea.
Products and Ingredients
All of our products are made, manufactured, and packaged in the USA.
Supply chain transparency is an important goal of ours that is harder to achieve as a small business. For now, our lab partner purchases ingredients from global raw ingredients suppliers, so the individual ingredients in our products may be sourced from all over the world.
As a small business, we have to carefully balance what’s reasonable with what we want. Of course, we’d love to have zero impact, but that’s not realistic at the moment. Instead of feeling bad about what we can’t do, we focus on what we can do. Currently, our efforts include:
— Our moisturizer bottles are made of 100% recyclable PP plastic–pump included, so there’s no need to disassemble before recycling.
— We minimize shipping waste–you won’t see extra unnecessary stuff with your order when it’s delivered.
— Authentic Ego is committed to working with ethical partners for our manufacturing, shipping, and packaging materials.
We’re always trying to be better, so consider everything we do a work in progress. Long term, we’d love to incorporate more into our day-to-day operations. We’ll keep you updated as we grow.

As a small brand we are only manufacturing in small batches so we are using a PAO or period after opening date. Once you open a product the amount of time before you discard it will be displayed on the back of the bottle in months. We use airless pump packaging to maintain the best possible freshness and stability in all our products, to avoid contamination and to minimize the use of preservatives that can have a negative impact on the skin’s microbiome.

We ship worldwide except for:
Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sierra Leone, Palestinian Territories, South Sudan, Myanmar, Republic of Crimea, Mexico, Russia, Brazil, Spain, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Lebanon, Sudan, Belarus, Iraq, Zimbabwe, Syria and China.
If you live in one of these countries, we’re sorry! Shipping carriers will not send to them. As an alternative you can always try a mail forwarding service but we can’t guarantee your package will make it to your country safely.
We can ship via USPS, FedEx or DHL. You can choose your preferred carrier during the checkout process.
Orders shipping to destinations outside the United States may be subject to customs or import fees and taxes upon arrival in your country. Unfortunately we have no control over this and your carrier will advise you if import fees, duties or taxes are due upon arrival.
Helpful hint: If you’re trying to avoid import fees, duties and taxes on your package you may want to consider shipping with USPS as there is a lesser chance your package will be flagged—but we can’t guarantee it!
We know you’re excited for your order, so we do our best to ensure that all orders ship the next business day after the order is placed.
This excludes holidays. We do not ship on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.
If one of the above holidays happens to fall on a weekend, the holiday is observed the next business day, so your package will ship the following business day.
We totally understand! Once your order ships you will receive a notification email with all the tracking information.
If your order hasn’t shipped yet we can absolutely cancel or modify it. If it has shipped and you used Fedex or DHL as the carrier you can refuse the parcel and it will be returned to our warehouse.
We’re determined to keep all irritants and unnecessary chemicals out of our products, but we know that everybody is different. If a product doesn’t work with your skin, contact us within 30 days and we will make things right.
